Well, folks, I’ve passed the 40k mark! I’m pretty sure I’ll be finishing up in the next few days. However, my blog post announcing the actual completion of NaNo will be a bit delayed, as I’m taking part in the December Eve Blog Party on the 30th and the 1st. So expect the wrap-up post for NaNo on December 2nd.
This is my second crack at NaNoWriMo. I won the first time, and I believe I will this time. But both attempts taught me a lot about my writing.
#1: I can write a heck of a lot of words when properly motivated.
My highest one-day word count this month was 4,700!! I started off with a bang, which helped to make up for lower days.
#2: It’s okay to step back.
I had several days this month where I needed to write only four, five, or six hundred words. My brain needed a break. And that’s totally okay.
#3: You’re only competing against yourself.
(And that’s the fun part.)
#4: Maybe I really do have something to say as a writer.
And maybe you do, too. 😊
#5: I LOVE making aesthetics!
Like this one for my NaNo project:

Anyway, the final NaNo wrap-up post will be coming in December! Stay tuned!
Hooray! Congrats on passing the 40k mark, Hannah!
